Pipe lining with patented LED curing uses a compatible light source to harden resin in a liner placed inside an existing pipe. On suitable sewer lines, that approach can reduce excavation.
KC Sewer Repair offers pipe lining with patented LED curing using the HammerHead Bluelight system. Understanding the basic steps can help you ask better questions and compare it with repair or replacement.
What Goes Inside the Pipe?
A resin-saturated liner is positioned inside the inspected and prepared sewer. With the liner in place, a curing head moves through it and hardens the compatible resin. The completed installation is then inspected.
That description sounds simple, but the existing pipe matters. Damage, shape, access and connections determine whether lining is suitable and what preparation is needed.
What Does Bluelight Add to the Process?
The Bluelight system combines resin formulated for blue light with an LED curing head. Automated pullback controls the head’s travel speed, while an integrated camera helps the installer monitor progress.
The liner, resin and equipment must work together as a compatible system. The equipment supports a controlled process; it does not remove the need for careful installation.
What Should You Ask Before Agreeing to Lining?
- Is my pipe’s condition suitable for a liner?
- What cleaning or separate repairs will it need?
- Which liner and curing system will be used?
- Will any access work or excavation be needed?
- How will the finished installation be inspected?
- What does the written workmanship warranty cover?
Good Preparation Still Does the Heavy Lifting
Curing is one step, not the whole repair. Inspection, cleaning, material selection and installation all matter. A liner also follows the existing pipe’s shape, so it won’t correct a belly or the slope.
We’ll explain your line’s condition and the complete scope, including separate repairs or excavation where needed. That gives you a more useful comparison than focusing on curing speed alone.
We’re accepting pipe-lining jobs with patented LED curing at KC Sewer Repair. Call or text to discuss your line and compare lining, repair or replacement. We’ll confirm the installation schedule after assessing the project.
